In January 2024, the ECEEE Zero Carbon Industry Conference took place in the Flanders Meeting & Convention Center Antwerp, in the heart of Antwerp next to the central railway station. The conference presented a nice mix on one hand techno-economic feasibility studies for e.g. the paper industry, breweries, the metals industry and cement, and on the other hand policy and subsidy measures to realize CO₂ reduction. Here, also the upcoming EERA EEIP whitepaper “The Role and Impact of Energy Efficiency in Decarbonising European Industry” was presented, to stimulate discussion and feedback on the whitepaper recommendations.
